Mugs Monday LXXI

My mother is almost fully blind, but still buys me a mug or two every now & then.
with this one she just saw all the beautiful green stripes & a 'funny colourful thing in the middle' so she HAD TO buy it for me.

Well, the problem here is, you see, I will never be the "Weltbeste Opa"(World's best Grandpa) even if I would want to 'cause I'm female... :)

Mugs Monday LXX

I love this mug. It's one of the most beautiful people in my collection. We used it as a sugar pot sometimes until my mother started drinking her coffe in it. :)
The pattern is lovely!!!

Mugs Monday LXVIII

It looks like a small soup bowl but I use it for morning tea sometimes. I personally call it a "Bottich" (which is in English a Vat or a Tub)
It's new & green, which you somehow can not see on this picture. I might have to take a better picture soon, this just does no justice to its beautiful colour.

Sorry, but this is a short one since I am a bit ill. :)

Mugs Monday LXVII

I bought this mug for my father ages ago.
Having only been brought up loosely in the Muslim Religion I didn't know this was actually a variation of the Jerusalem Cross. Which, as my Father [who is a (former evangelic/presbytherian) Atheist] told me, also is in Germany the sign for the German Evangelical Church Congress
I only saw a beautiful geometrical pattern & maybe some resemblance to the Flag of the Country of Georgia.

Well, that was a short one all you lovely people. ;)
Until next week.

Mugs Monday LXVI

In celebration of my Mother's B-Day this week.
I bought this for her a few years ago. Shes doesn't know much english but knew what mother & coffee meant so she wanted this when we went through the isles of my fave Mug 'outlet-store'.
In the red 'banner' at the bottom of it, it says "Always Reliable"
Isn't that what mothers ought to be? ;)

Mugs Monday LIX

I was in Krefeld again 3 days ago. My mother made me go. :D
So I bought some useless stuff like clothes & shoes... and this wonderful, very useful mug!
Of course with a(n almost) fitting coaster. ;)

Mugs Monday 57

I bought this mug for my mother, to drink her wake up coffee with me in the morning.
It's this one's younger brother... :)

MM LVI

This one of the newest mugs! I bought it with a complimenting bowl & plate.

It is a very interesting one, sometimes it looks like the colour Fandango & sometimes, depending on the angle & lighting, it looks like Plum and so on...

MM LIV

These past weeks, whenever I make my Parents a Cappuccino, it has to be served in these Mugs with their respective Spoons.
The Orange one for my Mother & the Green one for Father.
Oh, and the insides of the Mugs are plain White. :)

Mugs Monday L

I adore the pattern in & around the heart. The emboss is on the front & on the back on both mugs.
You can take out the spoons hanging in their handles & use them normally. :)

The colours are hard to name with these two.
The one on the left looks like a very light Thulian Pink or a very pale Mauve Taupe.
The one on the right looks as if it was quite a vivid Dark Plum.

P.S.: I do not know why this was not posted here on the 10. December 2012, even though I put it on schedule. Tumblr did post it on time!

Mugs Monday XLVIII

This mug is so glossy, I had to take numerous photographs of it, to get a decent pair.
And even these are a tiny bit flawed in my eyes. :(

This was a rather pricy one I bought my Father. Mother & I chose it for him. :)
The handle looks a bit Art Nouveau, don't you think?
The flower print repeats itself once as you can see.

Mugs Monday XLIII

This is my turkish Libra Zodiac coffee mug with a gold rim, given to me by my mother a few years ago.
It is my Sun Sign, but I wish I could find a mug with my Moon Sign, too, one day.
And I love how beautifully painted the moon, stars, planets & the scale itself are.
Oh, and look closely at the Date they put in this one... maybe you'll see what I mean. :)
Here the translation for image #2, from turkish to english.

Libra
24 September - 22 October
Charming, harmonious, easy to get along with,
emotional, elegant, diplomatic,
A strong sense of justice,
Artistic talent. Undecided,
does not like loneliness, good-hearted,
one who values friendship.

Mugs Monday XXXI

A mug my mother bought me years ago, even though my Sun Sign is not Leo.
The problem was, my mother is almost fully blind & back then could only make out the Leo print which she though looked cute. She didn't see the Zodiac Sign on the lower right.

When I told her, she was about to bring it back, but I didn't let her.
Even though there is not one House of mine in Leo... according to my Natal Chart. :)

Mugs Monday XXIX

In honour of my Mothers's Birthday a few Days ago.I let her choose one of her faves that I bought for her.

It used to have a red dot on its nose-tip. But that one is slowly fading with every wash.
Here a few other angles.
In the last image, the inside isn't dirty, it's only the way the colour dried after dunking.
